Gorgeous specimen of botryoidal Shattuckite with Dioptase, Calcite and Malachite from Tantara Mine, Congo-Kinshasa. The secondary Copper silicate Shattuckite grows on a Dioptase crust. The Shattuckite has light blue color and velvet appearance. The Dioptase crystals have rich green color, good luster and they are well formed, and sharp. Translucent Calcite layer partially covers the Shattuckite. Some green Malachite crystals are seen too. The piece has very rich morphology. In very good condition – some natural imperfections and small cracks. On acrylic base.
Overwhelming!
