Fascinating specimen of very unusually colored in rich olive-green Garnet var. Andradite crystals up to 3mm from the famous Jeffrey mine, Quebec, Canada. This specimen comes from a small new find and due to its color can be identified as variety Topazolite. The Andradite crystals are transparent, gem quality with superb luster and saturated color. They have sharp habit. The Garnets are bright and very sparkling. The contrast is strong due to the white Diopside matrix. The Diopside crystals are sharp, transparent, highly lustrous and completely colorless which is unusual. For references see the 2013 issue of The Mineralogical Record vol. 44, # 4. In excellent condition – some small contacts. On acrylic base.

Charming!
