Beautiful specimen of sharp Sphalerite tetrahedrons with Galena, Quartz and Calcite from the famous Madan ore field, Bulgaria. On a base of spiky Quartz crystals and granular Calcite grow black Sphalerite tetrahedrons with strong luster. The crystals show penetration twinning. They are chunky, razor sharp and shiny. On the faces are seen cool striations. One lustrous Galena cube adds a nice accent. In excellent condition – some minor nicks and back side contact. On acrylic base.
