Gorgeous specimen of twinned Lazulite crystals decorated with Siderite and Quartz from Rapid Creek - the famous phosphate deposits of Yukon, Canada. Lazulite is a rare magnesium aluminum phosphate and some of the finest come from this locality. The Lazulite crystals are sharp, highly lustrous, very well formed, monoclinic, deep indigo blue color measuring up to 12mm. The most amazing aspect is the quality of the crystals – they have some transparence with marvelous and saturated royal-blue color. Some transparent Quartz crystals and brown gemmy Siderite crystals enrich the display on both sides. For references see the 1992 issue of The Mineralogical Record vol. 23, # 4. In excellent condition – some small nicks and contacts. On acrylic base.

Sumptuous Lazulite!
