Mesmerizing combo specimen of Galena, Chalcopyrite and Pyrite from the famous Madan ore field, Bulgaria. The mines in Madan produce some of the finest Galena in the world and this is a choice piece. It displays sharp, well formed Galena twins with matt luster and good light reflection. They are terraced and stepped forming superb plates. Above grow rich yellow Chalcopyrite crystals up to 40mm. They are well shaped. Brassy Pyrite cubes replace part of the Chalcopyrite. Some Quartz crystals are seen too. The specimen has a beautiful display on both sides. In excellent condition – some small nicks. On acrylic base.
