Striking small specimen of Vesuvianite var. Manganoan from the famous Jeffrey mine, Quebec, Canada. The pointy terminated crystals are sharp and gem. They have an amazing purple color to minor apple-green at the caps. The luster is strong and the crystals are glassy. That is the most intense and saturated purple color which the mine produced. For references see the 2013 issue of The Mineralogical Record vol. 44, # 4. In excellent condition – some outside edge contacts. On acrylic base.
Gorgeous!
