Excellent specimen of lustrous Garnet var. Andradite var. Melanite crystals sitting on a matrix of Epidote from Arrondissement Diakon, Kayes Region, Mali. The Melanite crystals up to 12 mm is very well shaped and isolated. They are black with sharp rhombic dodecahedral habit and strong luster. They have pretty beveled edges. In very good condition – some small damages.
