Gorgeous and sparkling specimen of Garnet var. Grossular var. Chromian with Clinochlore from the famous Jeffrey mine, Quebec, Canada. The crystals to 2mm are with rich green color - result of Chromium. They have sharp crystallization, glassy luster and irresistible color. The crystals are gem. The Clinochlore below gives darker aspect to some Garnets. Very hard to find one of these now – the mine is closed. For references see the 2013 issue of The Mineralogical Record vol. 44, # 4. In very good condition – some outside edge contacts. On acrylic base.
Astonishing glowing green gems!
