Fascinating specimen of mirror lustrous thin Galena plates decorated with marvelous Calcite crystals from superb find in Krushev dol mine, Madan ore field, Bulgaria. The mines in Madan produce some of the finest Galena in the world and this is a choice specimen. It displays sharp, well formed superb flat Galena plates. They have excellent brilliance and light reflection. On the faces are seen gas bubble deformations. Some crystals are modified cubes with spinel law twinning. Lustrous rhombohedral Calcite crystals grow densely above. They are colored by micro unidentified inclusions in rusty-orange which gives nice colorfulness. Displays attractively all over 360 degree. In very good condition – some minor nicks and one small crack.
