Gorgeous and colorful specimen of gem Garnet var. Grossular var. Chromian with Diopside from the famous Jeffrey mine, Quebec, Canada. The crystals up to 4mm have rich and saturated grass-green color result of Chromium. They have sharp rhombic dodecahedral crystallization, glassy luster and irresistible color. The crystals are gem and transparent. Small Diopside crystals cover the base. Very hard to find one of these now – the mine is closed. For references see the 2013 issue of The Mineralogical Record vol. 44, # 4. Some contacts. On acrylic base.
Astonishing glowing green gems!
