Fascinating specimen of very unusually colored in rich olive-green Garnet var. Andradite crystals up to 2mm from the famous Jeffrey mine, Quebec, Canada. This specimen comes from a small new find and due to its color can be identified as variety Topazolite. The Andradite crystals are transparent, gem quality with superb luster and saturated color. They have sharp rhombic dodecahedral habit. The Garnets are bright and very sparkling. Inside some crystals are seen grass-green phantoms. The contrast is strong due to the white matrix. For references see the 2013 issue of The Mineralogical Record vol. 44, # 4. In good condition – some contacts. On acrylic base.

Charming!
