Pleasing specimen of rare colorless gem Garnet var. Grossular crystals up to 4mm on green Diopside from the famous Jeffrey mine, Quebec, Canada. The colorless Garnets are among the rarest in the world. The Grossular crystals are gem and clear. They have rhombic dodecahedral sharp crystallization and good luster. The Diopside crystals have vivid apple-green color. For references see the 2013 issue of The Mineralogical Record vol. 44, # 4. In very good condition – some small contacts. On acrylic base.
