Outstanding specimen of Chromian Vesuvianite with grass-green color (the rarest and most desirable color) to apple-green areas from the famous Jeffrey mine, Quebec, Canada. This is quite rare color combination. The sharp pointy terminated crystals have rich grass-green color due to Chromium to apple-green areas. The quality is superb – gem crystals with glassy lustrous faces which strongly reflect the light giving superb sparkling appearance. Overall choice green Vesuvianite from this great now closed mine. For references see the 2013 issue of The Mineralogical Record vol. 44, # 4. In excellent condition – some outside edge contacts.
Mesmerizing Chromian Vesuvianite!
