Superb grass-green colored Chromian Vesuvianite crystal – the rarest and most desirable color from the famous Jeffrey mine, Quebec, Canada. The sharply terminated crystal has very saturated green color due to Chromium to some apple-green areas. The crystal is with pointy tip. The quality is very good – gemmy crystal with lustrous faces which strongly reflect the light. Rare Chromian Vesuvianite from this great now closed mine. For references see the 2013 issue of The Mineralogical Record vol. 44, # 4. In very good condition – some contacts on one smaller crystal at the upper part. On acrylic base.
Marvelous!
