Wonderful specimen of bi-color Vesuvianite crystals from the famous Jeffrey mine, Quebec, Canada. The Vesuvianite crystals have from rich purple color to pleasing apple-green areas. They are gemmy with strong glassy luster. The crystals are very well shaped and some are doubly terminated. The piece is complete all over floater. For references see the 2013 issue of The Mineralogical Record vol. 44, # 4. In excellent condition – some minor nicks. On acrylic base.
Fascinating!
