Superb specimen of skeletal Galena decorated with Chalcopyrite and Sphalerite from 9th Septemvri mine, Madan ore field, Bulgaria. Very attractive and geometrical arrangement of stacked and aligned Galena overgrowing each other. Excellent parallel growth of cubes and elongated tetragonal prisms on different axes. They grow one atop other forming amazing terraced structures. The faces are matt lustrous. Attractive decoration is yellow Chalcopyrite crystals growing above. Black Sphalerite crystals and small Quartz crystals are seen too. In good condition – some small nicks and contacts.

Choice specimen from this closed mine – the only one that makes these structures!
