Fantastic specimen of gem Garnet var. Grossular crystals with green phantoms from the famous Jeffrey mine, Quebec, Canada. They are transparent, gem and clear up to 3mm. The crystals have grass-green cores due to Chromium. They are well formed and glassy lustrous. The crystals sparkle strongly and the thin white base gives a strong contrast. For references see the 2013 issue of The Mineralogical Record vol. 44, # 4. In very good condition – some small nicks and contacts. On acrylic base.
Outstanding!
