Marvelous specimen of Quartz var. Amethyst from this less common Bulgarian locality - Chala Mine, Spachievo ore field, Bulgaria. It displays Amethyst crystals which grow in a cluster. The color is very intense and saturated dark purple. The crystals are chunky with sharp pyramidal tips. They have good luster to frosty faces. Some small sparkling Pyrite crystals grow above and add a nice contrast. In very good condition – some small nicks.
