Rich morphology for this Chalcopyrite-Sphalerite combo on a Quartz base from the famous Madan ore field, Bulgaria. It displays black Sphalerite tetrahedrons growing atop Quartz. The Sphalerite crystals are very well isolated and sharp with surface striations, and strong luster. Yellow Chalcopyrite decorates the Sphalerite making excellent formations of mutual intergrowth and penetration – really amazing. This is an attractive display specimen with superb focal points. In excellent condition – some minor nicks.
