Fascinating thumbnail specimen of Manganoan Vesuvianite crystals decorated with minor Garnet var. Grossular from the famous Jeffrey mine, Quebec, Canada. The Vesuvianite crystals are gemmy with rich and saturated purple color to amazing fuchsia caps. The luster is strong and the crystals are glassy. Small cream colored Garnet var. Grossular crystals grow above which is one unique combination. It displays all over 360 degree. For references see the 2013 issue of The Mineralogical Record vol. 44, # 4. In excellent condition – some small nicks. On acrylic base.
Gorgeous!
