Superb specimen of twinned gem Microcline var. Hyalophane from Zagradski Potok Mine, Bosnia and Herzegovina. It comes from the collection of Sandro Maggia, Italy with a label. The specimen was mined before 1998. Hyalophane is a rare variety of Microcline and this mine has produced the world's finest examples for the species. It displays sharp crystals up to 42mm. They are colorless with glassy lustrous faces. The crystals have strong gemminess and transparency. The main crystal is twinned. Some damages. On acrylic base.
