Knappenwand, Austria is a world famous mineral locality for Epidote-Byssolite and this is a fine specimen. Very delicate clusters of dense, fibrous, hair like Byssolite needles cover the half of the base. The Byssolite has rich dark green color and it is very sparkling. White K Feldspar var. Adularia crystals cover the other half of the matrix. They are sharply crystallized. For references The Mineralogical Record, vol. 17, pp 167-181. In very good condition - some outside edge contacts.

Knappenwand specimens are not common, always highly prized and this is a choice combo!
