Fascinating specimen of very unusually colored in rich olive-green Grossular Garnet crystals to 3mm from the famous Jeffrey mine, Quebec, Canada. This specimen comes from a new find in the Andradite Garnets zone but must be examined to confirm the exact Garnet variety. The Grossular crystals are transparent, gem quality with superb luster and very saturated color. They have sharp habit. The Garnets are bright and sparkling. Inside some crystal are seen grass-green phantoms. The contrast is strong due to the white matrix. For references see the 2013 issue of The Mineralogical Record vol. 44, # 4. In excellent condition – some small outside edge contacts. On acrylic base.

Gorgeous!
