Beautiful specimen of Corundum var. Ruby crystal on black Muscovite from Zazafotsy Quarry, Fianarantsoa Province, Madagascar. The Ruby crystal of 22mm sits attractively at the top of the Muscovite base and it forms an excellent focal point. It has rich blue color and good hexagonal shape. The luster is strong. It displays some gemminess. Some natural imperfections. On acrylic base.
