Superb quality skeletal Quartz crystals from Porretta Terme, Bologna Province, Italy. This is a choice specimen from this classic locality. The crystals are razor sharp and highly lustrous, glassy, completely transparent and water clear. The smaller crystal is doubly terminated. They have interesting skeletal features and beautiful clay inclusions, which are typical for this locality.  The skeletal structure is caused by a fast growth of the mineral where the crystal faces do not have the time to be completed because the edges grow faster than the center of the faces. It displays attractively all over 360 degree. In very good condition – some small nicks. On acrylic base.
