Offbeat specimen of Pyrite crystals on a black matrix from Rolland Ravine, Hautes-Alpes, France. The brassy Pyrites are cubic and cube octahedral crystals growing in clusters. They are strongly lustrous and light reflective with pleasing yellow color. The faces have nice striations. The black matrix gives superb contrast. Complete all over 360 degree. In very good condition – some natural imperfections and small contacts.
