Unique specimen of Pyrite pseudomorph after Marcasite with second generation of epitaxial Pyrite from this now closed zinc mine famous for Pyrite - Nanisivik Mine, Nunavut Territory, Canada. The primary sharp tabular Marcasite crystals are completely pseudomorphed by sparkling Pyrite. At the corners and above are seen epitaxially orientated Pyrite crystals. The color is bright brassy-yellow and the crystal sparkle strongly. Atop are seen two generations of Calcite - one scalenohedron with amber color and frosty white clusters. In very good condition – some contacts.
Exceptional connoisseur pseudomorph!
