Astounding specimen of pink Garnet var. Grossular with green phantoms from the famous Jeffrey mine, Quebec, Canada. The Grossular crystals are super gem and clear with rich and saturated pink color. Some of them have green cores which are result of Chromium, surrounded by transparent pink areas. The crystals are up to 7mm which is very good size for this type. They have rhombic dodecahedral sharp crystallization, glassy luster irresistible color. This is of truly superior quality. The green cored Garnets are among the most unusual and rare Jeffrey mine Garnets and these with pink color are even rarer. This was mined long time ago - the mine is closed now.
