Top quality small jewel of gem Garnet var. Grossular with green phantoms from the famous Jeffrey mine, Quebec, Canada. The Grossular crystals are gem and clear up to 7mm. They have grass-green cores due to Chromium. The crystals have razor sharp rhombic dodecahedral habit and glassy luster. The quality is outstanding. White Albite forms the base and underlines the Garnets nicely. White Pectolite spray of needle crystals and green Diopside add nice accent. For references see the 2013 issue of The Mineralogical Record vol. 44, # 4. In excellent condition – some small contacts. On acrylic base.
Exceptional!
