Killer specimen of Cuprite crystals partially pseudomorphed by Copper from the famous Poteryaevskoe Mine, Rubtsovskoe Cu-Zn-Pb deposit, Russia. It displays sharp Cuprite octahedrons intergrowing together. Some areas of the Cuprite have been replaced and pseudomorphed by Copper, keeping the octahedral shape. The Cuprite has very strong luster and light reflection. Many crystals are only Copper. Complete all over. For references see the issue of The Mineralogical Record vol. 45, # 4, July-August 2014. In very good condition – some small damages.
Exceptional pseudomorph!
