Very uncommon type of Vesuvianite from the famous Jeffrey mine, Quebec, Canada. The crystals are light green, almost colorless, with light purple at the caps. The quality is very good – translucent to slightly gemmy crystals with very lustrous faces which strongly reflect the light giving superb sparkling appearance. They have sharp shape and perfect terminations. Overall choice Vesuvianite from this great now closed mine. For references see the 2013 issue of The Mineralogical Record vol. 44, # 4. In very good condition - some side contacts.
Marvelous!
