Beautiful Rhodochrosite specimen from the famous Uchucchacua mine, Peru which has produced some of the finest Rhodochrosites. It displays gem Rhodochrosite crystals up to 18mm with intense red color and scalenhedron shape. They are sharp and well terminated. The faces are vitreous and glassy lustrous. The Rhodochrosite crystals grow on a black base covered with small transparent colorless Fluorite crystals. One leap on the bigger crystal.
