Superb plate of skeletal Galena with Sphalerite from 9th Septemvri mine, Madan ore field, Bulgaria. Very attractive and geometrical arrangement of stacked and aligned Galena cubes overgrowing each other. They grow one atop another forming amazing terraced structure. The faces are matt lustrous. Black Sphalerite crystals grow at the lower part. Unidentified brown mineral grows atop. Displays on both sides. In very good condition – some nicks and contacts.
Excellent specimen from this closed mine – the only one that makes these structures!
