Rare combo of Diopside and Wollastonite with pink colored Grossular Garnet crystals to 3mm from the famous Jeffrey mine, Quebec, Canada. White hair like Wollastonite needles grow on the base formed by green Diopside crystals. On the back side are seen Garnet crystals. They are very well isolated, glassy, transparent, gem quality with superb luster and pink color. They have rhombic dodecahedral crystal habit. This combination was found just in one pocket decades ago and specimens of this type are very difficult to find. For references see the issue of The Mineralogical Record vol. 44, # 4. In very good condition – some outside edge contacts.
Marvelous!
