Splendid specimen of Vesuvianite var. Manganoan from the famous Jeffrey mine, Quebec, Canada. The crystals are well terminated with pointy tips and the main 10 mm crystal is doubly terminated. The Vesuvianite has intense dark purple color to apple-green caps. The luster is strong and the tips are gemmy. For references see the issue of The Mineralogical Record vol. 44, # 4.
