Offbeat specimen of lustrous Garnet var. Andradite var. Melanite crystals from a new find in Veshnoveh, Kashan County, Esfahan Province, Iran. One dominant 16mm crystal at the top forms an aesthetic focal point. The Melanites are dark with some reddish nuances and perfect rhombic dodecahedral habit. They have pretty beveled edges and strong luster. Some small yellow crystals of an unidentified mineral are seen too. In excellent condition – some small nicks. On acrylic base.
