Superb high quality specimen of the rare mineral Millerite from US highway 27 roadcut, Halls Gap, Kentucky, USA. It displays cool sprays of dense Millerite needles growing on rhombohedral Dolomite crystals. The Millerite hairs are vibrant, brassy and delicate with strong sparkling appearance. The Dolomite crystals are sharp and lustrous, colorless with yellow hue. Some small yellow Chalcopyrite crystals are seen too. Usually The Millerite from Halls Gap grows in geodes but this specimen is quite unusual with the Dolomite base. In superb condition.
Excellent Millerite!
