Marvelous gem Tanzanite crystal displaying dichroism - two disparate colors: purple and blue from the famous Merelani Hills, Tanzania. It is 50 carats (10 grams) and 33mm in length. Depending the angle of observation the color appears different in the same zones. The crystal has nice colors and strong luster. The top is gem and transparent. The base part is cloudier. Some small nicks and back side contact. On acrylic base.
