Beautiful specimen of Garnet var. Andradite on Hedenbergite decorated by Quartz crystal from Serifos Island, Greece. Rhombic dodecahedral Andradite crystals to 9mm are nested on green Hedenbergite. The Garnets are with pleasant red-brown color, very well crystallized, with sharp edges and matt lustrous. The matrix is of parallel Hedenbergite columns, grown in a cluster. Aesthetic finish is the Quartz crystal. In very good condition – some outside edge contacts and one back side partial crack.
