Knappenwand is a world famous mineral locality for Epidote and this is an elegant specimen. The Epidote crystals grow in an airy cluster with many free standing blades. They have pleasing olive-green color. The crystals are lustrous and strongly light reflective. The Epidotes are very sharp, well terminated and when back lighted are gemmy. Displays all over 360 degree. Ref. The Mineralogical Record, vol. 17, pp 167-181. In very good condition – some outside edge contacts. On acrylic base.

Splendid Knappenwand Epidote!
