Cool and colorful small specimen of Garnet var. Grossular var. Chromian with Clinochlore from the famous Jeffrey mine, Quebec, Canada. The crystals to 2mm have rich grass-green color result of Chromium. They have sharp crystallization, glassy luster and irresistible color. The crystals are gem. Clinochlore grow above. Very hard to find one of these now – the mine is closed. For references see the 2013 issue of The Mineralogical Record vol. 44, # 4. In good condition – some contacts. On acrylic base.
