Gorgeous specimen of rich turquoise-blue Salammoniac crystals from a new superb find in the Coronel Manuel Rodriguez mine, Chile. The find was made in the end of 2017 in a locality just outside the Coronel Manuel Rodriguez mine. According to the current information the locality was collected out. The initial identification was made by the mineralogy department of the University of Atacama as Krohnkite. In a new, just reviled study held by Mineralanalytik the blue mineral was identified as Salammoniac with inclusions of copper ions. The Salammoniac is a rare mineral composed of ammonium chloride. The crystals are very well shaped and translucent. It has marvelous turquoise-blue color and waxy luster. Some minor colorless Lecontite is seen too. Displays attractively on both sides. In very good condition – some small damages.
