Aesthetic specimen of skeletal Galena with Chalcopyrite from 9th Septemvri mine, Madan ore field, Bulgaria. Very attractive and geometrical arrangement of stacked and aligned Galena overgrowing each other. Excellent parallel growth of cubes and elongated tetragonal prisms on different axes. They grow one atop other forming amazing terraced structures. Many cubes have parallel truncated corners. The faces are matt lustrous. Attractive decoration is yellow Chalcopyrite and Sphalerite. In very good condition – some small nicks and contacts.

Splendid specimen from this closed mine – the only one that makes these structures!
