Superb geometry for these lustrous Garnet var. Andradite var. Melanite crystals from Kayes Region, Mali. One dominant 38mm crystal is decorated by smaller crystals. The Melanites are black with perfect razor-sharp rhombic dodecahedral habit and strong luster. They have pretty beveled edges. The specimen almost complete all over floater with minor attachment area. In very good condition – some small contacts and nicks.
