Superb specimen of colorful and slightly gemmy Garnet var. Uvarovite from the type locality of Saranovskii Mine, Russia. Displays a base covered by Uvarovite in beautiful crystals. Typically these Uvarovites are in micro size crystals and very densely growing but these ones are different – with good size up to 3mm. The most amazing aspect is the quality of the crystals - they have gemmy areas with incredible brilliance and luster combined with deep intense emerald-green color – absolutely adorable. Sharp rhombic dodecahedral crystals – very sparkling and shiny. Some nicks and contacts.
