Aesthetic specimen of gemmy Garnet var. Spessartine crystals from Shigar Valley, Skardu District, Pakistan. On white Albite base are nestled Spessartine crystals to 16mm. The white background underlines them well. The Spessartines have good trapezohedral shape and are well formed. They are lustrous with deep wine red color. The crystals are vitreous and gemmy. Some Muscovite is seen too. In good condition – some small nicks and back side contacts. On acrylic base.
