Gem and fine Spessartine Garnet crystals to 4mm grow atop attractive Smoky Quartz from Tongbei, China. The Spessartines are transparent with rich orange color. They have rhombic dodecahedral habit. The Smoky Quartz crystal is sharp and well definite, highly lustrous, transparent, and clear. At the base the Quartz is partially cracked. The Spessartines contrast strongly and the good quality gives perfect display. In good condition – some small nicks and contacts. On acrylic base.
