Superb small jewel of Garnet var. Grossular var. Chromian from the famous Jeffrey mine, Quebec, Canada. The crystals are gem and clear up to 1,5mm. They have deep and saturated grass-green color due to Chromium. The Garnets are with sharp rhombic dodecahedral crystallization, glassy luster and irresistible color. Some inclusions of black Chromite are seen too. Bright green Diopside grows on the base. Cool thumbnail from this closed mine. For references see the 2013 issue of The Mineralogical Record vol. 44, # 4. In superb condition. On acrylic base.
Splendid gem-green Garnets!
