Amazing skeletal Galena specimen from a new find in this closed mine 9th Septemvri mine, Madan ore field, Bulgaria – the only one that makes these structures. The skeletal structure is caused by very fast growth of the mineral where the crystal faces do not have the time to be completed because the edges grow faster than the center of the faces. Displays very attractive stepped growth, forming gorgeous terraced structures on all faces. The Galena cubes are matt lustrous, well formed and have a sharp geometry. On the Galena are seen gorgeous yellow Chalcopyrite incrustations with small Quartz crystals and black Sphalerite proving the natural origin of the skeletal structures. Displays beautifully all over 360 degree. In very good condition – some small nicks and contacts.
