Gorgeous and colorful specimen of Garnet var. Grossular var. Chromian with Clinochlore and Diopside from the famous Jeffrey mine, Quebec, Canada. The crystals to 3mm have rich grass-green color - result of Chromium. They have rhombic dodecahedral sharp crystallization, glassy luster and irresistible color. The crystals are gem and have some phantoms in the cores. Small Clinochlore and Diopside crystals are seen too. Very hard to find one of these now – the mine is closed. For references see the 2013 issue of The Mineralogical Record vol. 44, # 4. Some damages. On acrylic base.
Astonishing glowing green gems!
